Stone Print was originally developed as a new text typeface for Print: America’s Graphic Design Magazine. Several strategies were used in order to achieve a highly readable, economical type. The letterforms were designed to capture more space inside, creating the optical illusion of width. Special attention was given to frequently occurring letters, such as “e”.
